He also fails to mention that many of the policies enacted by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act are targeted at helping small businesses. One example of ARRA's assistance to small businesses is the grant program enacted by the Department of Energy that replaces a year-end tax credit for renewable energy manufacturing with a grant program that provides capital upfront to this burgeoning industry. Eric Cantor simply prefers to reject any good idea that the Democratic Party might have for his own political posturing. I would challenge Mr. Cantor to come and discuss the real issues facing families in Virginia's 7th District rather than discussing Republican priorities with the LA Times. The people of the 7th District deserve representation, not a Republican Party figure-head.
